MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges .05-0-.2 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic 2000-0 gauge for optimal performance?

A: Ensure the gauge is mounted vertically using either surface or flush adapters provided. You can select from back, side, or bottom connections, depending on your setup. Secure the gauge with the included screws and refer to the instruction sheet for detailed guidance.

Q: What type of media is this Magnehelic gauge compatible with?

A: This model is designed to measure the differential pressure of air and non-combustible, non-corrosive gases. It is not suitable for use with liquids, corrosive, or combustible gases.

Q: When should I use the external zero adjustment on the gauge?

A: The external zero adjustment screw allows you to recalibrate the needle to zero when the system pressure is at rest. Use it periodically or when you notice the pointer deviates from the zero mark to maintain measurement accuracy.

Q: Where can this gauge be mounted and what orientations are suitable?

A: The gauge is intended for vertical mounting, either surface or flush to a panel or wall. Connection ports can be configured on the back, side, or bottom, providing versatile installation options to fit your application.

Q: What is the process for connecting the gauge to a measurement system?

A: Use the 1/8 NPT threaded ports and included plugs to connect to your pressure lines. Ensure all seals are secure and follow the provided instruction sheet for safe and proper connection.

Q: What are the key benefits of using the Dwyer Magnehelic 2000-0 in industrial settings?

A: Its 2% full-scale accuracy, robust die-cast construction, and adaptability for various mounting configurations ensure reliable performance in demanding environments. The clear analog display and simple zero adjustment simplify ongoing operation and maintenance.

Q: How do I maintain and prolong the lifespan of the gauge?

A: Regularly check for dust or condensation on the lens and ensure mounting remains secure. Periodically verify zero calibration and ensure the gauge is exposed only to compatible gases within the specified temperature and pressure limits.
