MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

Precision Differential Pressure Monitoring

Engineered for high reliability, the Dwyer Magnehelic 2000-1 accurately measures pressure differences as low as 0 to 1.0 inch WC. The diaphragm actuated sensor and external zero adjustment allow for dependable and repeatable readings. Ideal for applications demanding close monitoring, such as air flow systems and controlled environments, this gauge ensures clear, analog dial viewing with a full-view acrylic lens.

Durable Construction for Demanding Environments

Built with a corrosion-resistant black finish and a die-cast aluminum case, the gauge thrives in harsh industrial settings. Its IP54-rated enclosure guards against dust and water splashes, while the clear acrylic cover protects internal mechanisms. The precision-machined processing and robust materials deliver sustained performance and longevity, making it a sound investment for critical measurement tasks.

Flexible Installation and Immediate Response

With a recommended vertical mounting orientation, the Magnehelic Gauge is suitable for surface or panel installation. It comes with all necessary adapters and mounting accessories, allowing for quick setup in diverse systems. Its mechanical direct-action enables immediate response to pressure changes, enhancing process control and safety throughout operation.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 1.0 Inch WC:

Q: How is the Dwyer Magnehelic 2000-1 gauge installed?

A: The gauge can be surface or panel mounted, preferably in a vertical orientation for optimal accuracy. It includes two 1/8 NPT plugs, two adapters for connecting rubber tubing, and three mounting adapters with screws, making installation straightforward on most setups.

Q: What types of pressure does this gauge measure?

A: This Magnehelic model is specifically designed to measure low differential pressure of air or other non-corrosive gases within a 0 to 1.0 inch WC range.

Q: When should I use this gauge in my process?

A: Use the Dwyer Magnehelic 2000-1 when monitoring low-pressure differentials is essential, such as in HVAC systems, filtration monitoring, or maintaining cleanroom environments.

Q: Where can the Magnehelic Gauge be mounted for optimal performance?

A: For the most accurate readings, the gauge should be mounted vertically on a surface or panel. This orientation is recommended due to the diaphragm mechanism inside the instrument.

Q: What benefits does the IP54 enclosure rating provide?

A: The IP54 rating ensures that the gauge is protected against limited dust ingress and splashing water, making it suitable for industrial and process environments that encounter moderate exposure to these elements.

Q: How do I perform zero adjustment on this gauge?

A: The device features an external adjustment screw for zero setting, allowing users to recalibrate easily in the field without dismantling the unit.

Q: What are the advantages of the diaphragm actuated sensor design?

A: The diaphragm actuated sensor provides quick, accurate, and reliable measurement of low differential pressures, delivering immediate response and minimizing lag in dynamic applications.
