MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

Industrial-Grade Durability and Precision

The Magnehelic Series gauge from Dwyer USA is constructed with a die-cast aluminum body, providing exceptional durability and resistance to harsh industrial environments. Its external adjustment knob and silicone rubber seals ensure long-term measurement accuracy and minimal maintenance. The robust casing and quick response make it ideal for demanding applications.

Versatile Installation and Application

This gauge offers both surface and panel (flush) mounting options, along with a standard 1/8 NPT connection at the back and sides. The included mounting hardware and plastic tubes simplify setup in various industrial scenarios, from cleanroom monitoring to HVAC system balancing and filter differential checks.

Efficient and User-Friendly Operation

Featuring an easy-to-read analog dial, external zero adjustment, and quick response in less than a second, the Magnehelic gauge ensures smooth operation. Its lightweight design and standardized dimensions make it a practical addition for any facility management or industrial process control application.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 20 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic gauge in my system?

A: The gauge can be mounted either on a panel (flush) or surface using the provided mounting ring and hardware. Connect the 1/8 NPT pressure ports to your air or non-corrosive gas lines, and ensure the gauge is installed upright for optimal accuracy.

Q: What is the primary benefit of using the Magnehelic Series for filter monitoring?

A: Its high accuracy (2% of full scale), quick response time, and clear analog display allow for real-time monitoring of filter condition, helping prevent excessive pressure drops and maintaining system efficiency.

Q: When should I use the external zero adjustment knob?

A: Use the external zero adjustment knob during initial setup and routine maintenance to ensure the gauge reads zero when both pressure ports are open to atmosphere, ensuring reliable measurements.

Q: Where are the connection ports located on the Magnehelic gauge?

A: Pressure connections are located at both the back and side of the gauge housing, and use standard 1/8 NPT threaded fittings, accommodating various installation configurations.

Q: What type of media can be measured with this differential pressure gauge?

A: The Magnehelic Series is designed to measure the differential pressure of air and non-corrosive gases only. It is not suitable for liquids or corrosive gas applications.

Q: How does the quick response time benefit critical applications?

A: With a response time of less than one second, the gauge provides immediate feedback, which is essential for applications like cleanroom monitoring or fan performance checks where timely pressure readings are crucial.
