MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

Reliable Differential Pressure Measurement

The Dwyer Magnehelic 2000-0.5 model offers precise differential pressure readings using a diaphragm capsule sensor, making it ideal for monitoring airflow and filter status in HVAC or industrial settings. Its robust construction provides reliability even in demanding conditions, while the analog display ensures users can interpret values instantly and accurately.

Simple Installation and Versatile Mounting

With options for both surface and flush mounting, plus included accessories such as NPT plugs and a mounting bracket, this gauge streamlines setup procedures. Its vertical mounting orientation is standard, ensuring optimal accuracy due to precision calibration. Weighing approximately 450 grams, it is easy to handle and install in tight spaces.

Engineered for Durability and Compliance

Constructed from die-cast aluminum and finished with textured black enamel, the gauge resists wear and corrosion. It is fully RoHS compliant, ensuring environmentally responsible manufacturing and operation. The clear acrylic cover, silicone rubber seal, and precision pointer contribute to long-term durability and dependable readings for industrial applications.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0.5-0-0.5 Inch WC:

Q: How is the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge 2000-0.5 typically used?

A: This gauge is primarily utilized to measure low differential air pressure in applications such as HVAC systems, air handling units, and laboratory ventilation. It helps monitor airflow, filter conditions, and other environmental parameters involving non-corrosive gases.

Q: What is the process for mounting and installing the gauge?

A: Installation involves selecting either surface or flush mounting according to your systems requirements. The included mounting bracket, screws, and 1/8 NPT plugs simplify the process. The gauge is calibrated for vertical mounting, which ensures accuracy.

Q: When should I adjust the zero on the Magnehelic Gauge?

A: Zero adjustment should be conducted after installation and whenever environmental conditions change significantly. You can use the external screw on the gauges face for quick and easy zeroing, maintaining precise readings over time.

Q: Where can this gauge be safely installed?

A: The gauge is suitable for indoor environments operating between -7C to 60C (20F to 140F). It should be mounted vertically in areas where its not exposed to corrosive substances or extreme mechanical vibration, and it is compatible with standard 1/8 NPT female connections.

Q: What are the benefits of using a diaphragm capsule sensor instead of a bourdon tube?

A: A diaphragm capsule sensor, as used in this Magnehelic model, provides heightened sensitivity and stability for low differential pressure measurements, making it more accurate for air and non-corrosive gas applications at the specified range.

Q: How does RoHS compliance benefit industrial users?

A: RoHS compliance ensures that the gauge meets strict standards for the restriction of hazardous substances, supporting safer workplace environments and environmentally responsible product usage.
