MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

Robust Design & Construction

Featuring a die-cast aluminum housing with a matte finish and a clear acrylic dial, the Magnehelic Gauge ensures exceptional durability and visual clarity. The industrial-grade enclosure resists environmental impacts and is suitable for demanding sites. Its IP52 front-panel rating provides basic protection against dust and moisture, supporting longevity in day-to-day use.

Accurate Pressure Measurement

The Magnehelic Series 2000 offers precise differential pressure readings with 2% full-scale accuracy, making it reliable for monitoring air and compatible non-combustible gases. An external adjustment screw allows for convenient zero calibration, and the analog dial enables immediate visual assessment. This model is engineered for both versatility and dependability.

Easy Installation & Versatility

This gauge supports both surface and flush mounting, and includes all necessary accessories for quick setup: two 1/8" NPT plugs and two flush mount adapters. Standard pressure connections are provided via 1/8" NPT female ports (high and low), with flexible mounting orientations possible, though the vertical position is recommended for maximum accuracy.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 6.0 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge for optimal accuracy?

A: For optimal accuracy, mount the Magnehelic Gauge vertically (standard orientation). Use the provided surface or flush mounting adapters for installation, and connect the high and low ports via the 1/8" NPT female pressure connections. Alternate positions are possible but may reduce accuracy.

Q: What type of media can the Magnehelic Series 2000 measure?

A: This gauge is designed to measure air and non-combustible, compatible gases only. It is not suitable for liquids or combustible gases, ensuring safety and proper function in HVAC, cleanroom, and filtration monitoring.

Q: Where can I use this gauge considering its operating temperature and enclosure rating?

A: The Magnehelic Gauge operates within a temperature range of -20C to 60C (-4F to 140F). Its IP52 front panel protection makes it suitable for indoor industrial environments, offering dust and limited moisture resistance on the front side.

Q: What process is used to zero the gauge?

A: Zeroing is performed using the external adjustment screw located on the front of the gauge. Simply adjust the screw until the needle reads zero with both pressure ports open to atmospheric air.

Q: When should I consider recalibrating the gauge?

A: Recalibration should be considered if the gauges readings drift from zero with open ports, after long-term continuous operation, or following overpressure incidents. Periodic zero adjustment helps maintain measurement accuracy.

Q: What are the main benefits of using the Magnehelic Gauge in industrial settings?

A: The Magnehelic Gauge offers dependable analog differential pressure readings, a durable die-cast aluminum case, and an easy-to-read acrylic dial. Its accuracy and ruggedness make it advantageous for monitoring air flows, filter status, and cleanroom pressures in various industrial applications.
