MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

Precision Differential Pressure Measurement

Designed for accuracy, the Magnehelic Gauge offers a clear analog display with a 0.001 Inch WC resolution and 2% full-scale accuracy. Its external zero adjustment ensures easy recalibration, vital for maintaining consistent readings in industrial settings. The gauge measures differential pressure in HVAC, cleanroom monitoring, and filter status applications.

Rugged Industrial Construction

Featuring a die-cast aluminum case, powder-coated finishing, and polycarbonate dial, this gauge stands up to challenging environments. The silicone rubber seal and IP52 ingress protection provide resistance to dust and moisture, increasing gauge longevity. Its durability makes it suitable for continuous operation in industrial applications.

Easy Installation and Versatility

Supplied with mounting bracket and screws, the gauge supports flush or surface mounting. The user can choose between back or bottom connection, both using standard 1/8 NPT threads. Its 4-inch full front glass size and external zero adjustment facilitate both setup and ongoing maintenance.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 0.025 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge in my system?

A: The gauge can be mounted using either flush or surface methods. Utilize the included mounting bracket and screws, and connect the 1/8 NPT high and low pressure ports to your application. You may select either the back or bottom mount connection based on your installation needs.

Q: What applications is the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge suitable for?

A: This gauge is ideal for measuring differential pressure of air and non-corrosive gases, making it commonly used in HVAC systems, air filter monitoring, cleanrooms, and industrial process controls where precision and reliability are essential.

Q: When should I perform the zero adjustment on the gauge?

A: Zero adjustment should be performed during installation and periodically during maintenance to ensure reading accuracy. This is done easily using the external screw on the gauges face without dismantling the device.

Q: Where can this gauge operate effectively in terms of temperature and environment?

A: The gauge operates reliably within -20C to +60C and is protected to IP52 standards, making it suitable for most indoor industrial environments where dust and moderate moisture might be present.

Q: What is the benefit of the overpressure limit feature?

A: The gauge can withstand pressure surges up to 15 psi without damage. This overpressure protection enhances instrument longevity and protects it from occasional system spikes.

Q: What materials are used in the construction of this gauge, and why?

A: A die-cast aluminum case ensures strength, while the polycarbonate dial, clear acrylic lens, and stainless steel pointer provide durability and clear readability, even in demanding industrial settings.

Q: How accurate is the gauge and what is its resolution?

A: The gauge delivers 2% accuracy of full scale and a resolution of 0.001 Inch WC, allowing for precise differential pressure measurement critical in airflow and filtration monitoring processes.
