MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

Industrial Precision and Durability

Engineered with a die-cast aluminum case and powder-coated finish, the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge is suitable for industrial applications requiring dependence and ruggedness. Its robust construction ensures longevity, while the diaphragm sensor and silicone rubber seals maintain accuracy and protection even under demanding conditions.

Versatile Measurement Applications

This Magnehelic gauge is designed for use in HVAC systems, clean rooms, duct static pressure measurement, and air filter monitoring. The analog display and 2% full-scale accuracy provide reliable, real-time performance in scenarios where precise low differential pressure measurement is essential for process control.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 5.0 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge for optimal performance?

A: Install the gauge on a surface or panel using the provided tapped mounting lugs. Connect the high and low pressure sources to the 1/8 NPT side ports, ensuring secure and leak-free fittings. Follow the included instructions for detailed installation guidance.

Q: What environments are suitable for using this Magnehelic gauge?

A: The gauge operates efficiently in temperatures ranging from -20C to 60C, making it ideal for HVAC systems, clean rooms, and environments that require low air or gas differential pressure measurement, such as air filter monitoring and duct static pressure applications.

Q: When should I perform zero adjustment on the gauge?

A: Zero adjustment should be conducted before initial use and periodically during routine maintenance. Simply use the external adjustment knob while the gauge is disconnected from any pressure source to ensure accurate baseline readings.

Q: Where are the pressure connections located on the gauge?

A: The Magnehelic gauge features conveniently placed side port connections, both threaded for 1/8 NPT fittings, allowing for straightforward integration into ducts or pressurized lines.

Q: What is the process for calibrating this gauge?

A: Each Magnehelic gauge is factory calibrated for precise performance. If recalibration is needed, consult the instructions or contact an authorized professional, as specialized equipment is required for accurate recalibration.

Q: How does the gauge protect against overpressure conditions?

A: The Dwyer Magnehelic gauge is designed to safely withstand continuous operating pressures up to 25 psig and is equipped with internal mechanisms to provide overpressure protection, ensuring device longevity under fluctuating conditions.

Q: What benefits does using an analog Magnehelic gauge provide?

A: Analog Magnehelic gauges deliver real-time, easily interpretable pressure readings without the need for power, making them highly reliable and ideal for continuous monitoring in industrial settings.
