MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 30 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge with side and back connections?

A: The Magnehelic Gauge offers side and back 1/8 NPT female connections for flexible installation. Use the enclosed mounting adapters and plugs to surface, flush, or panel mount the gauge. Follow the instruction sheet for proper placement to ensure accurate pressure readings.

Q: What are the benefits of using this gauge for filter monitoring or clean room pressure?

A: This Magnehelic Gauge provides precise, instantaneous differential pressure readings, making it ideal for monitoring filter efficiency, maintaining consistent clean room environments, and optimizing fan or blower operations. Its accuracy helps detect pressure drops or leaks early, ensuring system reliability.

Q: When should I perform zero adjustment on the gauge, and how is it done?

A: Zero adjustment should be performed during installation and periodically during operation to maintain accuracy. Use the external adjustment screw located on the gauge, following the included instruction sheet, to bring the pointer to zero when no pressure is applied.

Q: Where can this gauge be used in an industrial facility?

A: This gauge is suitable for a range of settings such as HVAC ducts, clean rooms, filter housings, fan and blower systems, and anywhere differential air or non-corrosive gas pressure must be monitored reliably in industrial environments.

Q: What process does the gauge use to measure differential pressure?

A: Utilizing a diaphragm sensor, the Magnehelic Gauge measures the difference between two pressure points, displaying the value instantly on the analog dial, providing real-time feedback necessary for efficient system monitoring and maintenance.

Q: What type of media can be measured with this gauge?

A: The gauge is engineered to measure the pressure of air and non-corrosive gases only. It is not suitable for liquid or corrosive gas applications, ensuring safe and durable operation in specialized conditions.
