MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 25 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge for optimal performance?

A: For best results, the gauge should be mounted vertically using either the flush or surface mounting options with the provided hardware. Ensure the dual rear 1/8 NPT fittings are securely connected to your low pressure source. Follow the included instruction manual for a step-by-step setup.

Q: What types of media can this gauge measure?

A: This gauge is engineered to measure low pressure in air and other non-corrosive gases. It is not suitable for measuring corrosive or liquid media.

Q: When should I check calibration or accuracy of the gauge?

A: It is recommended to verify gauge calibration during routine maintenance or if you notice irregular readings. Since the gauge is precision calibrated during processing, regular checks help maintain its accuracy of 2% of full scale.

Q: Where can this gauge be used in industrial settings?

A: The Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge is designed for use in industrial environments such as HVAC systems, clean rooms, filter monitoring, and process control panels where low differential pressure of air or non-corrosive gases must be measured.

Q: What are the benefits of the Magnehelic Gauges construction materials?

A: The die-cast aluminum case provides sturdy protection while the acrylic lens and powder-coated finish enhance durability and corrosion resistance. Silicone rubber seals ensure a tight, long-lasting fit, even in harsh industrial settings.

Q: How does the overpressure limit protect the gauge?

A: The gauge is rated to withstand overpressure up to 500% of its full-scale value, offering protection against unexpected pressure surges and extending the gauges operational lifespan.
