MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

Versatile Industrial Grade Design

Designed for industrial use, this gauge features a rugged die-cast aluminum body with a stylish powder-coated black and grey finish. Acrylic window, silicone rubber seals, and a die-cast process provide long service life even in heavy-duty HVAC and laboratory settings.

Easy Installation & Maintenance

Surface or flush mounting is simple with included screws and NPT connections. The Magnehelic gauges external adjustment knob allows for quick zero recalibration, minimizing downtime and ensuring consistent system performance.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 50 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic 2000 series gauge?

A: The gauge can be installed using surface or flush mounting. Mounting screws and 1/8 NPT plugs are included for secure attachment, and a detailed instruction sheet guides through the connection process using the 1/8 NPT threaded ports.

Q: What types of applications are suitable for this Magnehelic gauge?

A: It is ideal for monitoring differential pressure in HVAC systems, filters, clean rooms, and fume hoods. It measures air and non-corrosive gases, making it versatile for industrial and laboratory settings.

Q: When should the zero adjustment knob be used?

A: Use the external zero adjustment knob during installation or routine maintenance to recalibrate the gauge, ensuring measurement accuracy after mounting or whenever readings drift from zero with no pressure applied.

Q: Where can the Magnehelic gauge be mounted?

A: This gauge offers flexibility by supporting both vertical and horizontal orientations. It can be surface- or flush-mounted on walls or panels in industrial, commercial, or laboratory environments.

Q: What is the process for maintaining this gauge?

A: Periodic visual checks for dust, debris, or damage, as well as ensuring a proper zero setting using the external knob, are recommended. Acrylic window and die-cast aluminum case allow for easy cleaning and durability during routine inspections.

Q: What are the benefits of using this gauge over digital models?

A: Analog display provides instant, intuitive readings without batteries or complex electronics, is less susceptible to electronic interference, and is highly durable in rigorous industrial settings requiring basic, dependable measurement.
