About Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic,Switch/Gauge 0 to 5 in W.C

Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic,Switch/Gauge 0 to 5 in W.C

Pressure switch/gage, range 0-5" w.c., .10 minor divisions.

Model: 3005MRS

Combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gauge employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic gauge design. Versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits.

Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic, Switch/Gauge 0 to 5 in W.C.

Using solid state technology, there Series 3000MR and 3000MRS Photohelic switch/gauges combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted in 4-13/16" (122 mm) hole or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits. For applications requiring high cycle rates, choose 3000MRS models with SPST (N.O.) solid state relays. All models provide both low and high limit control and include 18-inch (45 cm) cable assemblies for electrical connections.

Gage accuracy is ±2% of full scale and switch repeatability is ±1%. Switch deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig (1.725 bar).

Industrial-Grade Differential Pressure Measurement

Built for dependable performance, the Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic provides accurate measurement of differential pressure in air and compatible gases. The units durable construction, featuring a die-cast aluminum case and polycarbonate lens, ensures long-lasting operation even in challenging industrial environments. Its analog and photohelic digital displays offer clear, immediate readings.

User-Friendly Setup and Control

With convenient external rotary knobs, setpoint adjustments on the Dwyer 3005MRS can be made without opening the unit. The dual SPDT relays enable two-point control for versatile applications. The panel-mount design makes installation straightforward, and the color-coded pressure connections simplify system integration.

Reliable and Accurate Operation

Factory calibrated to 2% accuracy, this gauge delivers consistent, reliable readings for air and compatible gases. Its IP54-rated front panel protects against dust and water ingress, supporting use in industrial settings such as air filter monitoring, static pressure measurement, and fan control.

FAQs of Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic,Switch/Gauge 0 to 5 in W.C:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic gauge for optimal performance?

A: For best results, mount the Dwyer 3005MRS vertically on a panel using the supplied screws. Ensure the high and low pressure connections, marked with color coding, are properly attached to your systems air or compatible gas lines. Always refer to the instruction manual during installation.

Q: What types of applications is this Photohelic switch/gauge best suited for?

A: This instrument is ideal for air filter monitoring, fan control, and static pressure measurement in HVAC or industrial environments. Its high accuracy and dual relay outputs make it particularly suited to applications requiring both gauge reading and automatic switching.

Q: When should I adjust the set points and how is this done?

A: Set points should be adjusted whenever your systems differential pressure thresholds change or during initial setup. You can easily modify settings externally using the rotary knobs on the gauges front, no disassembly required.

Q: Where can I use the Dwyer 3005MRS in terms of environment and compatibility?

A: The gauge is designed for indoor industrial use and can operate in temperatures from 20F to 120F (-6C to 49C). It is compatible with air and other gases that do not attack neoprene or polycarbonate materials.

Q: What is the process for calibrating or maintaining this gauge?

A: The Dwyer 3005MRS comes factory-calibrated and requires minimal maintenance. Regular inspections to ensure pressure connections remain airtight and periodic verification of electrical connections are recommended for sustained accuracy.

Q: How does the instantaneous relay action benefit my operation?

A: Instantaneous relay action ensures instant response whenever pressure reaches the set points, enabling precise control for safety and system efficiency. This feature is crucial for processes where quick corrective actions are necessary to avoid downtime.
