he Series 3000MR Photohelic® Switch/Gage combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic® gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted in 4-13/16" hole or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits.
Gage accuracy is ±2% of full scale and switch repeatability is ±1%. Switch deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig.

Reliable Differential Pressure MeasurementThe Dwyer 3000MRS combines advanced Photohelic differential pressure sensing with visual analog display and dual setpoint switches for accurate monitoring of air or compatible gases. Its diaphragm-based sensing mechanism ensures longevity and minimal maintenance, making it a staple in industrial-grade pressure control.
Versatile Installation and OperationDesigned for both panel and surface mounting, the 3000MRS fits seamlessly into a range of monitoring setups. Its die-cast aluminum case and polycarbonate front cover provide durability, while passive switches require no external power for the gauge, streamlining installation and reducing operational overhead.
Precision and Instant ResponseWith a measurement range of 0 to 60 Pa and 2% accuracy, the 3000MRS delivers high-precision readings. The dual adjustable SPDT switches operate instantaneously, ensuring prompt actuation for process control or alarming when preset thresholds are reached.
FAQs of Dwyer 3000MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge 0 to 60 Pa:
Q: How do I install the Dwyer 3000MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge in my system?
A: The 3000MRS can be mounted either on a panel or surface using the supplied mounting bracket. It connects via 1/8 NPT female thread ports and requires no power supply for basic gauge functionality. Refer to the instruction manual for wiring the SPDT switch outputs and proper orientation.
Q: What media is compatible with the 3000MRS sensor?
A: This model is designed for use with air or non-corrosive gases. Using it with other media may result in damage or inaccurate readings. The silicone rubber seals and polycarbonate materials ensure reliability with approved media.
Q: When should I use both setpoint switches on the 3000MRS?
A: The dual adjustable SPDT switches are ideal for applications requiring both high and low threshold detection, such as triggering alarms or control responses at two separate pressure points, enhancing safety and process monitoring.
Q: Where is the Dwyer 3000MRS best utilized?
A: The 3000MRS is widely used in HVAC systems, clean rooms, filter status monitoring, and other industrial settings in India where accurate differential pressure monitoring and switch control are required.
Q: What are the operational temperature limits of the 3000MRS?
A: This device operates reliably within a temperature range of -6.7C to 60C (20F to 140F), suitable for most indoor industrial environments.
Q: How does the Photohelic electronic switch operate without external power for the gauge?
A: The gauge is entirely passive and does not require external power. The two SPDT snap-acting switches respond mechanically to changes in pressure, offering fast response without additional energy input.
Q: What is the primary benefit of using a 3000MRS over a standard manometer?
A: The 3000MRS provides not just pressure measurement but also electronic switching capabilities, enabling automated control or alarm functions directly from the gauge, which simplifies system design and improves process reliability.
