he Series 3000MR Photohelic® Switch/Gage combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic® gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted in 4-13/16" hole or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits.
Gage accuracy is ±2% of full scale and switch repeatability is ±1%. Switch deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig.

FAQs of Dwyer 3001MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge 0 to 1 inch:
Q: How does the Dwyer 3001MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge operate without external power?
A: The 3001MRS gauge portion is purely mechanical and photoelectric, requiring no outside power source to function. The integrated SPDT relay contacts are rated to handle supplied circuit voltages, allowing switch operation without additional power for the gauge itself.
Q: What gases can this Photohelic switch/gauge safely measure?
A: This device is designed to measure air and other non-combustible, compatible gases. It is not suitable for flammable or aggressive chemical gases, as the sensor and materials are engineered for typical industrial ventilation or process air streams.
Q: When is it beneficial to use the dual adjustable SPDT switches?
A: The dual SPDT switches are valuable when controlling up to two independent setpoints, such as activating alarms, controlling fans, or initiating process responses at different pressure levels. This enhances process safety, automation, and system efficiency.
Q: Where is the Dwyer 3001MRS typically installed?
A: It is panel-mounted using a 4-13/16" (122 mm) circular cutout, making it suitable for control cabinets, industrial machinery panels, HVAC air handling systems, and process equipment in manufacturing or laboratory environments.
Q: What is the process for setting the switch points on this gauge?
A: Setpoints are adjusted manually via the front panel using external controls to move the indicator markers on the display, enabling precise tuning of activation thresholds for both relay outputs.
Q: How fast does the Dwyer 3001MRS respond to changing pressure conditions?
A: With a response time of less than one second, the gauge provides swift switching action, ensuring timely system responses and helping maintain stable and efficient control in rapid-changing environments.
Q: What are the primary benefits of using this Photohelic differential pressure gauge?
A: Users gain accurate analog pressure indication, immediate relay-based switching, robust industrial construction, and a maintenance-free, power-independent gauge. This makes it a reliable and versatile monitoring and control solution for air and compatible gas pressure applications.
