he Series 3000MR Photohelic® Switch/Gage combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic® gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted in 4-13/16" hole or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits.
Gage accuracy is ±2% of full scale and switch repeatability is ±1%. Switch deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig.

Industrial-Grade Differential Pressure MonitoringEngineered for durability and precision, the 3000MRS-0 Photohelic switch/gauge meets rigorous requirements of industrial pressure monitoring. Its diaphragm-based sensor offers 2% accuracy across a 0 to 0.5 in. w.c. range, suitable for air and non-combustible gases. The IP54-rated front panel ensures protection in demanding environments.
Dual SPDT Snap Switches for Versatile ControlEquipped with two independent SPDT snap switches, the device supports a range of control applications. Each snap switch handles loads up to 10A at 120/240 VAC or 3A at 480 VAC, enabling integration with HVAC, fan, or filter systems. Switches respond instantaneously and require external power, but gauge readings are always available without power.
Flexible Installation and Hassle-Free OperationThe Dwyer Photohelic 3000MRS-0 features a 4-inch diameter for clear local display and is supplied with mounting bracket and panel hardware for easy flush or surface installation. Connections are made via 1/8" NPT female ports for high and low pressure. Its factory-calibrated construction ensures ready-to-use precision, while maintenance is simplified due to its robust design.
FAQs of Dwyer 3000MRS-0 Photohelic Switch/Gauge 0 to 0.5 inch:
Q: How does the Dwyer 3000MRS-0 Photohelic Switch/Gauge function without a power supply for gauge readings?
A: The gauge uses a mechanical differential pressure diaphragm to display pressure. This mechanical design does not require any external power to provide an accurate analog reading, ensuring reliable performance even during power loss.
Q: What types of applications benefit from using this Photohelic switch/gauge?
A: It is ideal for HVAC fan control, monitoring air filters, and controlling air flow in industrial systemsany application requiring both local pressure indication and electrical switching to automate equipment or alarms.
Q: When should I supply power to the 3000MRS-0?
A: External power is needed only for operating the SPDT snap switches, which provide electrical contacts for control circuits. The analog gauge will always display pressure readings mechanically regardless of power availability.
Q: Where are the pressure connections located and what type are they?
A: There are two 1/8" NPT female connections on the unitone for high and one for low pressure lines. These enable accurate differential pressure measurement across filters, fans, or ducts.
Q: What is the installation process for mounting the Photohelic 3000MRS-0?
A: The unit can be flush or surface mounted using the provided bracket, panel mounting hardware, and terminal screws. It has a 4-inch front face, designed for easy visibility and accessibility in control panels.
Q: How instantaneous is the devices mechanical switching response?
A: The mechanical snap switches respond instantly to pressure changes within the set range, allowing for immediate operation of external controls such as alarms, fans, or relays.
Q: What are the benefits of choosing this industrial-grade gauge over others?
A: Users gain reliable, accurate readings (2% of full scale), robust construction for harsh environments, IP54 panel protection, dual SPDT switching flexibility, and a low-maintenance, factory-calibrated deviceall contributing to reduced downtime and enhanced system control.
