he Series 3000MR Photohelic® Switch/Gage combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic® gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted in 4-13/16" hole or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits.
Gage accuracy is ±2% of full scale and switch repeatability is ±1%. Switch deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig.

Reliable Differential Pressure SensingThe Dwyer 3000MR uses a diaphragm-based Photohelic sensor, ensuring highly accurate (2% of full scale) measurement of differential pressure for air and non-corrosive gases. Its analog display, combined with dual SPDT relays, allows for both monitoring and automation, supporting diverse industrial needs.
Flexible Power and Mounting OptionsThis switch/gauge accommodates 120 VAC, 240 VAC, or 24 VDC power supply options depending on the model. It is suited for both flush and surface mounting, with a vertical orientation recommended for optimal performance. The device comes ready for installation with all necessary mounting hardware.
Durability and Safety AssuredConstructed from die-cast aluminium and featuring a powder-coated or anodized finish, the 3000MR offers rugged performance. Its NEMA 2 (IP54 equivalent) enclosure and CE/RoHS certifications make it safe for use in demanding industrial environments and ensure long operational life.
FAQs of Dwyer 3000MR Photohelic Switch/Gauge 0 to 6 MM:
Q: How does the Dwyer 3000MR Photohelic Switch/Gauge measure pressure?
A: The Dwyer 3000MR utilizes a diaphragm sensing element instead of a Bourdon tube to measure differential pressure accurately across a 0 to 6 mm water column range. The device converts the pressure differential into a mechanical dial reading and actuates the built-in SPDT relay switches at setpoints for control applications.
Q: What are the benefits of using dual SPDT relays in this Photohelic switch/gauge?
A: Dual SPDT relays allow you to set two independent pressure thresholds for automatic control. This capability enables activation or deactivation of connected devices, such as alarms or fans, providing reliable automation and safety in pressure management systems.
Q: Where should the 3000MR be installed for optimal performance?
A: The 3000MR is recommended to be installed in a vertical orientation, either flush-mounted or surface-mounted, in controlled industrial environments or HVAC setups. Its NEMA 2 (IP54 equivalent) enclosure makes it suitable for indoor areas with moderate exposure to dust and moisture.
Q: What is the recommended power supply for this device?
A: Depending on the specific model, the Dwyer 3000MR can be powered by 120 VAC, 240 VAC, or 24 VDC. Ensure you select the appropriate model for your available power supply, and always follow the installation instructions provided.
Q: When does the switch respond to pressure changes?
A: The switch responds immediately to pressure changes, providing both a visual indication on the analog dial and an electrical response by toggling the relay switches. This rapid response ensures prompt control actions within your system.
Q: How do you reset the relays after activation?
A: The relays can be reset either manually or automatically, depending on your setpoint configuration. You can adjust the setpoints for automatic resetting, or manually reset the unit as needed for your application requirements.
Q: What types of media can be measured with this gauge?
A: The Dwyer 3000MR is designed to measure the pressure of air and non-corrosive gases only. It should not be used with liquid or corrosive gases, as this could damage the sensor and other internal components.
