he Series 3000MR Photohelic® Switch/Gage combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic® gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted in 4-13/16" hole or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits.
Gage accuracy is ±2% of full scale and switch repeatability is ±1%. Switch deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig.

Advanced Differential Pressure MonitoringThe Dwyer 3000MR Photohelic combines the reliability of an analog gauge with the precision of photoelectric switching. This ensures rapid response and accurate measurement of air or compatible gas differentials, all while enabling precise control using its dual SPDT relays. Its robust construction and corrosion-resistant finish offer durability in harsh industrial environments.
Intuitive Operation & InstallationEngineered for ease of use, this device features a large, clear display with high-contrast markings for quick pressure readings. The included mounting ring, snap ring, and terminal screws simplify panel mounting and installation. Its 1/8 NPT female connections accommodate standard fittings, making setup straightforward for most industrial systems.
Benefits for Industrial ApplicationsBuilt to withstand tough conditions, the 3000MR Photohelics cast aluminum case, Buna-N seals, and polycarbonate window ensure longevity and resistance to corrosion. Instantaneous response time aids in maintaining process safety and efficiency, while its analog-and-switch design offers both continuous monitoring and automated control in a single unit.
FAQs of Dwyer 3000MR Photohelic,Switch/Gauge 0 to 4kpa:
Q: How do I install the Dwyer 3000MR Photohelic Switch/Gauge?
A: The unit is designed for panel mounting and includes a mounting ring, snap ring, and terminal screws for secure installation. Connect the 1/8" NPT female ports to your pressure lines, provide a 120 VAC power supply, and wire the SPDT relays as needed for your application.
Q: What type of gases can be measured with this device?
A: The Dwyer 3000MR Photohelic is intended for use with air and compatible non-combustible gases. Ensure that the gases do not contain corrosive elements that could damage the wetted materials (brass, phos. bronze, Buna-N, polycarbonate, aluminum).
Q: When should the SPDT relay switches be used?
A: The dual SPDT relays are used when you need automated control capabilities, such as activating alarms or equipment when a pressure setpoint is reached. The relays operate at 5A for 120/240 VAC or 28 VDC circuits.
Q: Where can I use the Dwyer 3000MR in an industrial setting?
A: This gauge is suitable for anywhere accurate air or compatible gas differential pressure measurement and control are requiredsuch as HVAC systems, clean rooms, filter monitoring, or industrial process equipment. Its robust construction makes it ideal for demanding environments.
Q: What is the process for setting the pressure setpoints?
A: Setpoints are adjusted directly on the gauge, allowing the relays to actuate precisely at your chosen differential pressure levels. Adjust the setpoint dials according to your systems requirements and confirm relay switching at the desired pressures.
Q: What are the main benefits of using a Photohelic switch/gauge?
A: Combining real-time analog readout with automated switching provides both visibility and control in one device. The instantaneous gauge response and precise relay operation enhance process safety and efficiency, reducing the need for separate instruments.
Q: How accurate is the Dwyer 3000MR, and whats its resolution?
A: It offers an accuracy of 2% of full scale and a fine resolution of 0.1 kPa, closely monitoring pressure changes to safeguard your processes.
