he Series 3000MR Photohelic® Switch/Gage combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic® gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted in 4-13/16" hole or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits.
Gage accuracy is ±2% of full scale and switch repeatability is ±1%. Switch deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig.

Versatile Differential Pressure MeasurementThe Dwyer 3000MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge excels in measuring low-range differential pressure of air and compatible gases. Its 0 to 1 kPa scale range accommodates a variety of HVAC, filtration, and process control tasks. The diaphragm sensing element ensures reliable readings without the need for a Bourdon tube, providing accurate data for demanding industrial environments.
Easy Monitoring and SwitchingThis model integrates both an analog gauge and dual SPDT relay switches. Setpoints for each switch are conveniently adjustable using dedicated knobs on the units front. Real-time visual indication is provided by the large analog dial, enabling operators to monitor and respond quickly to pressure fluctuations, while the electrical relay enables automated control.
Rugged and Reliable DesignBuilt for industrial use, the 3000MRS features a die-cast aluminum enclosure with a powder-coated, anodized front bezel. The IP52-rated front panel protects against dust and limited moisture, making it ideal for indoor, non-outdoor settings. Each unit is supplied with a mounting bracket, installation manual, and electrical connectors for straightforward set up.
FAQs of Dwyer 3000MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge 0 to 1 kPa:
Q: How can I install the Dwyer 3000MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge?
A: Installation is simple using the included mounting bracket and panel hardware. Connect the process pressure lines to the 1/8" NPT female ports and complete electrical wiring via the rear screw terminals following the installation manual. The device is designed for surface or panel flush mounting indoors.
Q: What applications is this gauge best suited for?
A: The 3000MRS is ideal for measuring and controlling low differential pressure of air and compatible gases in HVAC systems, air filtration monitoring, clean room pressure management, and other industrial settings requiring precise pressure monitoring with relay-based switches.
Q: When should I use the adjustable setpoint switches?
A: Adjustable setpoint switches are beneficial when you need automated control, such as activating alarms, fans, or other devices at specific pressure thresholds. You can quickly fine-tune setpoints by rotating the front control knobs as operational needs change.
Q: Where can the 3000MRS be installed?
A: This device is intended for indoor environments only, as its IP52 rating and construction are not suitable for outdoor use. Ideal installation locations include control rooms, plant interiors, or machinery panels where weather exposure is not a concern.
Q: What is the process for setting the relay switch points?
A: You can set relay switch points directly via the two front-facing control knobs. As you turn each knob, the corresponding relay activates at the set pressure, allowing you to customize control and alarm triggers according to your system requirements.
Q: How does using a Photohelic differential switch/gauge benefit my operation?
A: Utilizing a Photohelic switch/gauge allows you to combine precise analog pressure display with instant relay switching for automated system responses. This enhances safety, streamlines process control, and reduces downtime by enabling fast action in response to pressure deviations.
