Dwyer 2000 MAGNEHELIC, DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE GAUGE 0-20 CM
Precision litho-printed scale is accurate and easy to read.
Red tipped pointer of heat treated aluminum tubing is easy to see. It is rigidly mounted on the helix shaft.
Pointer stops of molded rubber prevent pointer over-travel without damage.
"Wishbone" assembly provides mounting for helix, helix bearings and pointer shaft.
Jeweled bearings are shock-resistant mounted; provide virtually friction-free motion for helix. Motion damped with high viscosity silicone fluid.
Zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness.
Helix is precision made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the magnetic field to move the pointer across the scale.
Samarium Cobalt magnet mounted at one end of range spring rotates helix without mechanical linkages.
Calibrated range spring is flat spring steel. Small amplitude of motion assures consistency and long life. It reacts to pressure on diaphragm. Live length adjustable for calibration.
Silicone rubber diaphragm with integrally molded O-ring is supported by front and rear plates. It is locked and sealed in position with a sealing plate and retaining ring. Diaphragm motion is restricted to prevent damage due to overpressures.
Die cast aluminum case is precision made and iridite-dipped to withstand 168 hour salt spray corrosion test. Exterior finished in baked dark gray hammerloid. One case size is used for all standard pressure options, and for both surface and flush mounting.
Blowout plug of silicone rubber protects against overpressure on 15 psig rated models. Opens at approximately 25 psig.
O-ring seal for cover assures pressure integrity of case.
Precision Differential Pressure MonitoringDesigned specifically for industrial-grade performance, the Dwyer 2000-20CM Magnehelic Differential Pressure Gauge allows for reliable and accurate measurement of low differential pressures up to 20 cm WC. Its robust construction and calibrated processing type make it an essential tool for monitoring air and compatible gases in critical applications such as HVAC systems, clean rooms, and filter monitoring.
Durable Construction for Demanding EnvironmentsThis gauge features a die-cast aluminum case with a clear acrylic lens, ensuring durability and clarity even when subjected to routine use. The gray finish and bold white aluminum dial markings make the readings clear and easy to interpret, while the included mounting bracket and screws facilitate straightforward installation in both flush and surface orientations.
User-Friendly Adjustment and InstallationThe 2000-20CM model comes with an external zero adjustment screw, enabling field calibration with ease. Its compact 4.5-inch (115 mm) diameter and standard 1/8 NPT female port connections allow seamless integration into existing systems, streamlining setup and enhancing user convenience. All necessary accessories for typical industrial mounting are included in the package.
FAQs of Dwyer 2000-20CM Magnehelic Differential Pressure Gauge:
Q: How do I install the Dwyer 2000-20CM Magnehelic Differential Pressure Gauge?
A: To install the gauge, use the included mounting bracket and screws for either flush or surface mounting in a vertical orientation. Connect your pressure lines to the two 1/8" NPT female ports. Ensure the gauge remains upright for accurate operation.
Q: What is the primary usage of this pressure gauge?
A: This Magnehelic gauge is used to measure low differential pressures of air and compatible gases, particularly in industrial applications such as monitoring HVAC filter status, clean room pressures, or airflow in ducts.
Q: When should I use the zero adjustment screw?
A: Use the external zero adjustment screw before initial use or periodically during maintenance to recalibrate the pointer, ensuring sustained accuracy throughout the life of the gauge.
Q: Where can this gauge be mounted?
A: The 2000-20CM can be mounted on any vertical panel or wall, provided the environment is not exposed to weather, as it is not rated for weatherproof applications. Choose a location with minimal vibrations for optimal performance.
Q: What pressures and temperatures can this gauge withstand?
A: This model has a maximum working pressure limit of 172 kPa (25 psi) and can withstand a momentary overpressure of up to 344 kPa (50 psi). It operates reliably within a temperature range from -7C to +60C (20F to 140F).
Q: How does the gauge provide measurement readings?
A: The Dwyer 2000-20CM uses an analog display with a bold dial and clear pointer, delivering immediate, mechanical response for real-time monitoring of differential pressures without delay.
Q: What are the benefits of using this Magnehelic gauge in industrial settings?
A: The main advantages include precise, real-time pressure readings, robust construction for long service life, easy on-site calibration, and compliance with RoHS standards. Its design minimizes maintenance and maximizes operational reliability.
