MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM
The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.
The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 25 MM WC:
Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge for accurate pressure measurement?
A: Installation involves connecting the two 1/8" NPT high and low-pressure ports using the provided static pressure tips, securing the gauge with the included mounting brackets and screws, and following the detailed instruction manual for surface or panel mounting. Ensure the gauge is mounted vertically for optimal accuracy.
Q: What kind of media can this Magnehelic Gauge measure?
A: This model is designed for measuring the pressure of low air or non-corrosive gases. It is not suitable for liquids or corrosive gases due to its diaphragm sensor and the materials used in its construction.
Q: When should I use the zero adjustment screw on the Magnehelic Gauge?
A: The external zero adjustment screw is used whenever you need to recalibrate the gauge, typically before taking measurements or after it has been moved or subjected to temperature fluctuations, to ensure accurate pressure readings.
Q: Where can this Magnehelic Gauge be used effectively?
A: This gauge performs optimally in cleanrooms, HVAC systems, filter monitoring, or any industrial setting where low air or non-corrosive gas pressure differential needs monitoring. The IP54 rating ensures its usability in environments with dust and minor water splashes.
Q: What are the process limitations related to maximum pressure?
A: The gauge can safely handle up to twice the rated pressure or 35 kPa (5 psi), whichever is lower. Exceeding this limit may cause damage to the diaphragm or compromise measurement accuracy.
Q: How does the IP54 enclosure benefit industrial applications?
A: The IP54 enclosure protects against moderate dust and water ingress, making it suitable for industrial settings where occasional moisture or dust exposure is expected, thereby extending the gauges operational life.
