MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

Durable Construction and Reliable Performance

Engineered with a die-cast aluminum case and protected by a high-impact acrylic cover, the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge stands up to challenging industrial environments. Its corrosion-resistant finish ensures long-lasting operation, while the analog display with clear markings allows for instant, precise readings. The gauge operates reliably within a broad temperature range, making it suitable for various climate conditions.

Simple Installation and Versatile Applications

This Magnehelic Gauge is designed for seamless panel mounting, utilizing 1/8" NPT high and low pressure ports. All necessary accessoriesstatic pressure tips, NPT plugs, and adhesive mounting bracketare included, simplifying the setup process. Its mechanical diaphragm sensor delivers accurate results across applications like HVAC systems, cleanrooms, and process industries requiring differential air or gas pressure monitoring.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 15 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer 2000-15 Magnehelic Gauge onto a panel?

A: Installation is straightforward: mount the gauge into a 4-inch diameter panel opening, connect the included static pressure tips to the 1/8" NPT ports for high and low pressure lines, and secure with the adhesive mounting bracket. No external panel threads are required.

Q: What types of pressures can this Magnehelic Gauge measure?

A: The gauge measures low differential pressures of air and compatible gases in the range of 0 to 15 inches WC, making it ideal for HVAC applications, cleanroom monitoring, filter testing, and other industrial uses.

Q: When should I adjust the zero setting on my gauge?

A: You should adjust the zero setting before each new measurement or periodically if the gauge has been jarred or subjected to significant ambient pressure changes. Use the accessible external adjustment screw to realign the pointer to zero.

Q: Where can this gauge be installed for optimal usage?

A: The Magnehelic Gauge is best installed on control panels within HVAC systems, cleanrooms, or process monitoring stations. Its robust build allows installation in industrial and commercial environments where low differential pressure readings are critical.

Q: What is the process for calibrating or maintaining this gauge?

A: Routine maintenance includes checking the zero reading and adjusting it as needed. Clean the acrylic window with a soft, damp cloth and inspect connections for leaks. Calibration is rarely needed due to its mechanical design but should follow factory recommendations if high accuracy is critical.

Q: How does using a Magnehelic Gauge benefit my operation?

A: Using this gauge helps maintain safe, efficient system performance by providing quick, accurate readings of differential air or gas pressures. Prompt detection of abnormal pressure levels can prevent downtime and allow timely interventions.
