Dwyer 2080 Offers
Features
- Precision litho-printed scale is Accurate And easy to read
- Red tipped pointer of heat treated aluminum tubing is easy to see. It is rigidly mounted on the helix shaft
- Pointer stops of molded rubber prevent pointer over-travel without damage
- "Wishbone" assembly provides mounting for helix, helix bearings and pointer shaft
- Jeweled bearings are shock-resistant mounted; provide virtually friction-free motion for helix. Motion damped with high viscosity silicone fluid
- Zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness
- Helix is precision made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the magnetic field to move the pointer across the scale
- Samarium Cobalt magnet mounted at one end of range spring rotates helix without mechanical linkages
- Calibrated range spring is flat spring steel. Small amplitude of motion assures consistency and long life. It reacts to pressure on diaphragm. Live length adjustable for calibration
- Silicone rubber diaphragm with integrally molded O-ring is supported by front and rear plates. It is locked and sealed in position with a sealing plate and retaining ring. Diaphragm motion is restricted to prevent damage due to overpressures
- Die cast aluminum case is precision made and iridite-dipped to withstand 168 hour salt spray corrosion test. Exterior finished in baked dark gray hammerloid. One case size is used for all standard pressure options, and for both surface and flush mounting
- Blowout plug of silicone rubber protects against overpressure on 15 psig rated models. Opens at approximately 25 psig
- O-ring seal for cover assures pressure integrity of case

FAQ's of 2080 Dwyer Differential Pressure Gauge 80 Inch:
Q: How is the 2080 Dwyer Differential Pressure Gauge used in industrial settings?
A: It monitors and measures differential pressure between two points in applications like power plants, cement factories, steel mills, and textile plants, helping operators maintain safe and efficient pressure levels.
Q: What process does the gauge use to provide accurate readings?
A: The gauge detects pressure differences via its internal mechanism and displays the result on a clear, easy-to-read 4-inch dial in multiple units (mm WC, cm, Pa, kPa, inches), guaranteeing accuracy based on the selected model and range.
Q: When should I select the -HA model for this gauge?
A: Opt for the -HA model when higher accuracy is required, as it provides up to 1% of full-scale precision, which is beneficial for critical processes that demand meticulous pressure monitoring.
Q: Where is the ideal mounting location for this gauge?
A: The gauge is designed for back mount installation, making it suitable for control panels or instrumentation boards commonly found in industrial installations.
Q: What are the benefits of using this particular pressure gauge?
A: Users gain from its reliable accuracy, broad range of measurement scales, robust metal alloy build, and its lightweight design, all of which improve monitoring, safety, and system performance in demanding industrial environments.
Q: How does the dial material and size contribute to its effectiveness?
A: A plastic dial paired with a sizable 4-inch (101.6 mm) diameter ensures durability and clarity for easily reading measurements, essential for quick checks and ongoing process oversight.
