MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

FAQs of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 8.0 Inch WC:

Q: How do you install the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge in HVAC or clean room applications?

A: To install the Magnehelic Gauge, mount it vertically for standard accuracy using the provided adaptors, screws, and 1/8 NPT connectors. For different orientations, recalibration ensures precise readings. Ensure all fittings are secure, and refer to manufacturer guidelines for safety and optimal placement.

Q: What environments and systems are best suited for this gauge?

A: The gauge is ideal for monitoring filter status, duct or blower pressures, and differential pressures in HVAC systems and clean rooms. Its robust construction and accuracy make it suitable for industrial environments and applications involving air and non-corrosive gases.

Q: When should recalibration or zero adjustment be performed?

A: Recalibration is necessary if the mounting orientation changes from vertical. The external adjustment screw on the front of the device allows for easy zeroing after installation or after prolonged use to maintain measurement accuracy.

Q: Where can the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge be purchased or sourced in India?

A: This gauge is available through authorized manufacturers, suppliers, traders, and wholesalers across India. Always source from reputable industrial equipment distributors to ensure authenticity and warranty support.

Q: What is the process for monitoring and measuring pressure with this gauge?

A: Connect the devices 1/8 NPT fittings to your pressure sources. The pointer will immediately show the pressure difference on the analog dial, allowing for continual real-time monitoring of air or non-corrosive gas pressures within your system.

Q: How does using this gauge benefit HVAC maintenance and operation?

A: Continuous differential pressure monitoring helps identify clogged filters and abnormal duct or blower pressures promptly, aiding in preventive maintenance and energy efficiency. The high sensitivity and rapid response support reliable system diagnostics and control.
