About Dwyer USA DM-1128 DigiMag Differential Pressure Gauge

Dwyer USA DM-1128 DigiMag Differential Pressure Gauge

Dwyer Instruments DM-1128

DM-1124 DigiMag® differential digital pressure gage, range 10-0-10" w.c.

The DigiMag Series DM-1000 Digital Differential Pressure and Flow Gages monitor the pressure of air and compatible gases just as its famous analog predecessor the Magnehelic Differential Pressure Gage. All models are factory calibrated to specific ranges. The 4-digit LCD can display readings in common English and metric units so conversions are not necessary. The simplified four button operation reduces set up time and simplifies calibration with its digital push button zero and span. The DigiMag Digital Gages are more versatile than analog gages with their ability to be field-programmed to select pressure, air velocity or flow operation depending on model. The DigiMag Digital Gages have an added feature for filter applications where a set point can be input where the display will blink when the filter is dirty, alerting the user that a maintenance action needs to occur. Programming the Series DM-1000 is easy using the menu key to access 4 simplified menus which provide access to, depending on model: security level; engineering units; K-factor for use with various Pitot tubes and flow sensors circular or rectangular duct size for volumetric flow operation; filter set point; view peak and valley process readings; digital damping for smoothing erratic process applications; display update to conserve battery life; zero and span field calibration. The Series DM-1000 DigiMag Digital Differential Pressure and Air Flow Gages possess a full-scale accuracy of 1% on ranges down to 2 in H2O and 2% accuracy down to the very low range of 1 inch to 0.25 in H2O. DigiMag Digital Differential Pressure Gages offer power versatility by working with 9-24 VDC line power or simply 9V battery power. If using line power and connecting the 9V battery, the battery will act as a back-up if line power is lost or interrupted.

Precision and Versatility in Pressure Monitoring

With a measurement range of 0 to 0.25 in w.c. (other ranges available), the DM-1128 DigiMag offers precise readings with 0.01 in. w.c. resolution. Its field-selectable analog output enables integration into diverse control systems, while the fast response time (<1 second) ensures real-time monitoring relevant for sensitive applications like clean rooms and filter monitoring.

Rugged and User-Friendly Design

This pressure gauge is housed in a matte finish polycarbonate enclosure, meeting IP54/NEMA 3X standards for protection against dust and splashes. Zero and span are easily calibrated with push-buttons, and the digital LCD display simplifies reading and interpretation. The device comes complete with mounting accessories for straightforward installation on surfaces or panels.

FAQs of Dwyer USA DM-1128 DigiMag Differential Pressure Gauge:

Q: How do I select the desired analog output for the DM-1128 DigiMag Differential Pressure Gauge?

A: The gauge allows you to choose between 4-20 mA, 0-5 VDC, or 0-10 VDC output during installation. Field selection is done via internal jumper settings as detailed in the instruction manual provided.

Q: What applications is the DM-1128 DigiMag suitable for?

A: This gauge is ideal for HVAC, building automation, filter monitoring, duct static pressure measurement, and clean room environments due to its high accuracy and rapid response time.

Q: When should the zero and span be adjusted on this gauge?

A: Zero and span should be calibrated during initial installation and whenever significant changes occur in system setup or environment. Calibration is performed with the simple push-button feature on the gauge front.

Q: Where can the DM-1128 DigiMag be installed?

A: It can be mounted on walls or control panels using the included surface or panel mounting bracket and screw kit, making it suitable for both retrofits and new installations.

Q: What process is involved in cleaning or maintaining the gauge?

A: Routine cleaning involves gently wiping the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. The electronic sensor design requires no regular internal maintenance. Ensure not to exceed the 5 psi overpressure limit to avoid sensor damage.

Q: How does this pressure gauge benefit building automation systems?

A: By delivering accurate and immediate differential pressure readings with selectable analog outputs, the DM-1128 integrates seamlessly with automation systems for continuous monitoring and efficient control of air flow and filter status.

Q: What should be considered regarding the measured media and compatibility?

A: The device is designed for air and other compatible gases. Wetted parts include silicone and Buna-N, ensuring compatibility with most HVAC and indoor air quality monitoring setups, but not with corrosive or liquids.
